Support for This Season and the Ones Ahead
Caring for a child with special needs can feel overwhelming. The questions are constant, the information can be hard to sort through, and it is easy to feel alone.
At Harbor Day School, we believe support should not stop at the classroom door. This page exists to equip, encourage, and walk alongside families as they navigate their journey. Whether you are newly navigating a diagnosis or seeking continued guidance, these resources are here to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
You are not alone, and hope is still very much alive.
Parent Training and Education
We offer training classes designed to support parents and caregivers of children with special needs. These sessions provide practical tools, shared learning, and encouragement rooted in real experience and compassion.
Trainings may include topics related to development, communication, daily routines, and navigating life with a child who has special needs. Each class is designed to meet families where they are and help them take meaningful next steps.
Details and schedules for upcoming trainings will be shared as they become available.
Community Connection
Support is stronger when it is shared.
Our private Facebook group offers a space for parents and caregivers to connect, ask questions, and encourage one another. It is a place to share experiences, celebrate milestones, and find comfort in knowing others truly understand your journey.
This community is intended to be welcoming, respectful, and hope filled.
A Place to Start

You do not have to have everything figured out. Taking one small step is enough.
